Over the duration of this online short course, you’ll work through the following modules:
Module 1 Core Racial Equity Concepts
Explore the root causes of racial inequalities and the rise of anti-racist movements.
Module 2 How Racial Inequalities Shape Current Business Practices
Recognize the impact of racial hierarchies on organizations’ practices and policies, and explore the role of organizations in promoting racial equity and inclusion.
Module 3 Building a Racial Equity Framework
Explore how organizations can promote racial equity and inclusion through the three lenses of the Racial Equity Framework.
Module 4 Implementing a Racial Equity Framework
Learn how to drive organizational change through courageous leadership, inclusive language, and a Racial Equity Action Plan.

Director of the Center for the Study of Diversity and Democracy, Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences at Northwestern University
Tillery’s research and teaching interests focus on generating key insights about how to lead change around diversity, equity, and inclusion. He is one of the nation’s leading experts on the Black Lives Matter movement, and he has also written extensively about presidential leadership on race relations. His book Between Homeland and Motherland: Africa, U.S. Foreign Policy and Black Leadership in America won the W.E.B. Du Bois Distinguished Book Award from the National Conference of Black Political Scientists. His papers have appeared in the American Political Science Review, Political Research Quarterly, the Journal of Race, Ethnicity and Politics and many other journals.
